To our valued friends and partners in the community, we all have had our share of the concerns and anxieties during this global crisis. But hopefully, you have seen just as many acts of genuine kindness, consideration and bonding over this universal situation. People putting their own health at risk to help others in so many ways and helping each other to find our common humanity.
We want you to know that St. Vincent and Sarah Fisher Center has not stopped working for a minute! We have been very busy checking on our students and families, making sure that they have what they need, if only a friendly voice to say that we care about them in their isolation. But we have also been helping them take advantage of the Stay-at-Home order to further their studies. This is essentially important with the historic amount of residents filing for unemployment and assistance. NOW is the time to take advantage of available time to help improve their lives when we emerge from this situation. Since the start of the pandemic, the SVSF Team has continued providing services to approximately 250 students and families for both our Children and Adult Programs and with our dedicated volunteers, are ready to do more!
We are pleased to announce that we are OPENING ENROLLMENT for our Children and Adult Programs! Both programs will be accepting students on a first come, first-served basis for the duration of the Stay-at-Home directives, until we are able to re-open the Center. Each program will enroll students for either online or off-line tutoring (that will be done remotely, not in-person):
